The business is owned and managed by Nathalie Bauwens. Nathalie holds a Master's degree in Translation and learned the ins and outs of the translator's trade working as an in-house translator with a large insurance company in Brussels. In 2017 she changed course and decided to pursue a career as an independent translator.
We specialise in translations from French and English into Dutch, but we are also able to assist with other language combinations. With our extensive network we will always be able to find a native speaker of the language you need.
Every translation is reviewed by a second native speaker: this "two pairs of eyes" approach ensures a flawless end result.
Perhaps you've written a text in Dutch and you would welcome the judicious advice of a language specialist? We can do that! We will make sure that your text puts your message across in a linguistically correct and fluent manner.
Proofreading involves a review of the text, looking at sentence structure, grammar and spelling.
Editing: we compare the source and target text to confirm that the target text precisely reflects the style and meaning of the source.
Having worked for 2 decades in a major international insurance company the world of insurance no longer holds any secrets for me. A wealth of experience with the highly specific terminology and style used in insurance means that Nathalingua are ideally placed to translate texts in this specialist field.
With years of translation experience in a large company with thousands of employees I have also been able to immerse myself in the dynamic world of human resources.
Thanks to my work with a major banking insurer I have also developed considerable expertise in financial translation.
My love of language is inseparably bound up with a love of travel. Exploring new countries, hiking through nature, getting to know exciting cities...On holiday I am always looking for what gives a country its unique identity. And that passion feeds into my translations on tourism and travel.
My interest in sport was kindled at an early age. Football, cycle racing, athletics, tennis, I love them all. I played tennis and squash for many years, although nowadays I stick mostly to skiing, badminton and hiking. A passion for a subject like sport together with a passion for language is the ideal foundation for expert and accurate translations.
Is that a specialism? After years of active participation in a youth movement and as the proud mother of 4 children I find the world of children tremendously exciting: childrearing, education, youth movements... this is another sector where Nathalingua are right at home.
We leave nothing to chance. Every text is translated painstakingly and with a real understanding of the subject matter. Where there's any doubt or question about the content we consult with the customer to find the best solution. In order to guarantee the highest possible quality we and our freelance translators work exclusively into our mother tongue, and every text is checked over by a second native speaker. This is the best guarantee of top quality!
Translation work inevitably involves tight deadlines, and we are highly conscious of the importance of meeting them. Where that really isn't possible we will discuss an acceptable compromise with the customer, always in advance.
Satisfying our customers is our top priority, and we do whatever we can to meet their needs and wishes. But quality remains our main objective, we will never rush things.
